You ready to see the cutest baby boy you’ve laid eyes on? You can about imagine after seeing these how much fun it was to work with this family in their home for his six month session. I can’t wait to see him at his next Watch Me Grow session… I’m sure he will flirt with the camera once again!
Elsie was as sweet as pie at her Mini Session. She smiled for her photos and everything! She is just as sweet as her older two siblings that I have always adored photographing… congratulations to the G family!
These two pretty girls were a photographer’s dream… their mama brought the most beautiful dresses and the girls were SO sweet. All the stars aligned!
Let’s just say I looove a good lifestyle, in-home session. And this one was just that. Even though I have a nice warm studio which is an awesome option, especially during a horrid winter like we are having, documenting your life in your space… there’s just something about it. These are the photos you will look back on in 20 years and definitely not regret doing.
Meet Willa and her awesome parents…
Fewffta! (How South Dakota was that) What a fall and holiday season! I’m so appreciative of all the sessions I’ve gotten to do this season, and it’s been fun to see so many clients another year! I’m itching to get back to much needed office work and blogging some recent sessions (orrrr more like sessions from a few months ago). I photographed big sister ,Lydia’s, first year, so meeting her new baby sister, Madelyn, was super special!
Beside the obviously amazing hair, Hadley was a dream! I've photographed a few of her cousins, so it was an honor to meet and photograph the newest member of the family. I can't wait to see her at her next Watch Me Grow session at six months; I bet her hair will be even more amazing! :)
George is the third baby of this family I've gotten to photograph, and what an honor it has been! I do many newborn sessions in my studio, but it is always a fun change to step into a client's home and photograph them in their element, in a lifestyle way. If you have any questions about what a session like this entails, please feel free to send me a message!
His siblings don't love him one bit, as you will see (wink, wink.) I can't wait to see baby George in a few months at his next Watch Me Grow session.
I wanted to share something I recently started in 2018 - Newborn Mini Sessions. Since newborns are my specialty and definitely the most photographed in the studio, I thought it would be fun to offer another option to change things up for potential clients and myself. A full newborn session is great - plenty of time for my creativity to come out in the setups we shoot, we can take our time with the family (sibling!) shots, and you have many great images to choose from as a result. However, these Mini-Sessions are great for the client that may not want the investment of a full newborn session, and really just needs a few images of their new, little love. These sessions are just 20 minutes, and since they are so short, baby is swaddled (or wrapped as I say!) the entire time. This ensures that we can shoot quickly since baby is cozy, as they tend to prefer.
You can find more information on these sessions at the very bottom of this post. I usually offer just a few spots per month for these sessions, so don't hesitate to contact me well in advance! :)
Here is an example of a Newborn Mini Session... meet Cade!
Newborn Mini Session | 20 Minutes | 5 Digital Images | $225
She was a dream to have in the studio!
I figured since it's almost time to see this (probably not so) little guy for his six month session, I should blog his newborn session! I loved this one... he was a dream. And obviously loved to pieces!
You will never regret freezing this super fleeting time in your baby's life. Believe me, they are this small for about 5 seconds. Theodore made my heart mush. What a cute boy!
These four are always a joy to see. What an honor it's been to work with them since before Teddy was born. The years fly by; don't hesitate to document them!
Gavin is one of my Watch Me Grow Plan babies, and that means I get to see him every six months.. how lucky am I?! Just look at him! This past session, I got to photograph him in his beautiful home. There is something about freezing this part of your baby's life in photographs, especially in their room, their surroundings, with the people that love them most. Thanks for having me, M family - can't wait to see you again soon!
I never tire of meeting these new babies - so squishy and so amazing. I'm excited to see Mack when he's six months old!
I love what Liz said to me when we were discussing where we should do their session. She said that some of her and her husband's favorite photos from childhood are of themselves in the homes they grew up in. Although sessions in a studio or at a beautiful outdoor location are awesome options, I completely agree with how special it will be for their children to have these priceless photos of them in their beautiful home, with their parents that love them so much.
I adored this newborn lifestyle session in this lovely family's home. You can imagine how much fun it was to watch these triplet big sisters with their new baby sister, and it was an honor to be in the background capturing them loving on her. Thank you to Amaya's family for welcoming me in your home. Baby Amaya is beautiful.
In addition to doing custom newborn sessions in my natural light studio in Sioux Falls, I also enjoy these more casual sessions of families with their new bundle in the comfort of their home. Contact me for more information - the summer is filling up, and the fall is almost full!
What an honor to photograph this babes, who came all the way to the studio from Sioux City! What an anticipated, loved baby boy.
Of course baby Ellie was just as beautiful as her big sister, Marlie, was at her newborn session! Marlie provided lots of laughs in the studio when it was time for sibling photos... those new baby sisters sure rock your world, I'd imagine. It's always fun to work with this family, and I'm excited to see Ellie at her next Watch Me Grow session!
